Hi all, first post, so hello!

I need to solve the following for y.
I've been pondering over this for a while today, and not sure how to approach it.
Any help greatly appreciated!

$x=a*log(y)+y$

you'll won't be able to solve for y using elementary algebraic methods; it would require the use of Lambert's W function.
