    multiply mixed number by and decimal

    How do you multiply a mixed number by a decimal?

    ie. 71 2/3 x 2.40=

    Set it all to fraction.

    71\frac23\cdot2,40=\frac{71\cdot3+2}3\cdot\frac{24  0}{100}
