    Hi I'm new here. Can someone check my work to see what I should do to correct my mistake?

    Find the slope of the line through (6, -4) and (2, 10).

    I solved it this way:
    (10-4)/(2-6)=-6/4 = -3/2

    So.. my answer is:
     m=-3/2

    However my answer is wrong. What should I do?

    Also, I have a few other math questions... should I post in a different thread for the other questions?

    Thank you.

    Your numerator should be 10-(-4) not 10-4

    Close. What happened to the sign on "-4"?

    10 - (-4) = 10+4 = 14

    Please start a new thread for a new question.

    Thank you very much.

    I came up with the answer. I now have the result of -7/2.
