Rounding up to nearest whole number

how can I round up 823.295628 to the nearest whole number? The question is asking me to round it up not down, so can anyone help me with this? Could it be a trick question and the answer is really 823 or is there actually a way to round this number up to the nearest whole number?

Any replies would be much appreciated...

You said "round it up, not down", so the answer should be the next whole number that is higher than the 823.295628. Which is 824, of course.

If, however, you instead said "round it off to the nearest whole number", then the answer should be 823, because the decimal portion is less than 0.5.

Rounding off is different from rounding up.
