Help me simplify this expression!
[2(x+2)^3 - 6(x+2)^2] / [((x+2)^3)^2]

Can you show me step by step? This is a homework problem and I really want to understand it.
Thanks.

Factore the numerator, notice the two terms have a common factor $2(x+2)^2$.

$\frac{2(x+2)^3-6(x+2)^2}{[(x+2)^3]^2}=\frac{2(x+2)^2(x-1)}{(x+2)^6}$
