Sorry, yes Pro, s should be 42.468476 but using that value still give d = 50.xxxxxx not the 1000 as expected?

OK, with no factoring done, here is the correct solution

$d=\dfrac{f(h+s)+\sqrt{f^2(h+s)^2-(2h+s)(sf^2-sh^2)}}{2h+s}$
