1. ## 4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn?

Hello, someone online gave me this and asked me to solve... is this algebra?

4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn

Is there an online calculator for solving this?

Sorry, last time I took math, it was in Jr High, 14 years ago and I entered an art high school that let me take extra science classes instead, so I've forgotten anything above multiplication and division

2. ## Re: 4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn?

Is the expression:
$\frac{4m+3n}{4m^2-3n^2+2mn}$
?

You can't solve this expression because it isn't an equation (... = ....). Do you mean you have to simplify it? ...

Ok, can you simplify and explain how?
-thanks

4. ## Re: 4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn?

The problem is you can't simplify it to an easier expression.
Maybe you should ask the person who gave you this exercice again if he could be more clear and what he means with solving it.

5. ## Re: 4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn?

On an online algebra site, it converted it to this alternate math format:

4m + $\frac{3n}{4}$ ${m^2-3n^2+2mn}$

Does this make more sense now?

6. ## Re: 4m+3n/4m square-3n square+2mn?

It says this is the answer to simplify:

$\frac{3m^2n}{4}$- ${3n^2+2mn+4m}$

If this seem correct, I'd like to refer the "online calculator" that provided this to her, but it offers no "steps" to get the answer.

If the exercice is just to simplify the expression then the answer you gave me doens'nt look correct in my opinion.
