    Solving a Quartic Equation

    Solve for x without using the quartic formula.
    x^4 - 2x - 2=0

    Because I couldn't factor this, I graphed it on my calculator. When I pressed "2nd" and then "Graph," there were no zeros in the Y column. I don't know what to do!

    To graph the function looks a good idea to me, because you can't solve this exactly I think. I thought that you've to work with the intersection button to determine the zero's.
