re: Unit Conversion Problem

Express 34 Earth years in Earth Days.

You know that each of these days lasts for 1000 years on Mars so multiply Earth days by your ratio to give the amount of Mars years

Assuming Mars uses the same time structure as Earth (and assuming the Julian calendar of 365.25 days/yr) then you can work out how many Mars minutes are in a Mars year

Multiply by this number to get the amount of Mars minutes.

================================

If I used a worked example using 1 year on Earth in Martian minutes:

1 Earth year = 365.25 Earth Days

365.25 Earth Days = 365,250 Mars Years

1 Mars year = 365.25 days/yr * 24h/day * 60mins/hr = 525,960 Mars Minutes

Thus there are 525,960*365,250 = 1.921*10^11 Mars Minutes in One Earth Year

I'm still a little lost. This isn't for homework just something I needed to know.
