Thread: Rational Roots Test

What purpose is there in using this test, because, clearly, it is just pointless conjecture for finding the roots (zeros) of a polynomial; whereas I could just simply actually do the algebra? Does anyone see the point in learning this?

It's not always so easy to "just do the algebra".
