    Rieman's Function

    Hello,

Can anybody please help me to understand Rieman's Zeta function in simple language? I mean to say from a non-mathematicians point of view.....

Kindly mail me at email address removed by moderator

    Thank You.

Any moved to reply can do so in the usual manner here or by PM to the OP

Yes, I have searched. Rieman's Hypothesis is one of the 23 unsolved problem proposed by David Hilbert. But this formula about prime number is not clear to me.

    Any help............

Fantastic's Hypothesis: A 'layman' probably does not have the pre-requisite mathematical background to understand anything that gets posted.

Given my hypothesis is true, all that will happen is a lot of time will be wasted and people will get frustrated.

You are advised to obtain one of the many books that have popularised the Riemann Hypothesis and start reading. That is why they were written.

Since this would require an understanding of complex analysis "from a non-mathematicians point of view" is an imposibility unless you include theoretical physicists as non-mathematicians. Now the Euler Zeta Function is possibly a different matter (it is The Zeta Function restricted to the reals). There is a piece by Keith Devlin >>here<< that might help.
