I am trying to figure out this progression from a book I am reading and not having a lot of luck.
A is proportional to B^2.8
A is proportional to B x C^2
Therefore A is proportional to C^3.1
You have to be more clear with your notation:
$\displaystyle A$ is proportional to $\displaystyle B^{2,8}$
$\displaystyle A$ is proportional to $\displaystyle B\cdot C^2$
Therefore $\displaystyle A$ is proportional to $\displaystyle C^{3,1}$
Is this the exercice?
