Speed distance time problems
First off I'd like to say hi to everyone on the forum
I need some help with speed distance time problems as you probably gathered from the thread title
Basically I'm going for pilot selection in a months time and the entry test heavily features speed distance time questions and fuel calculation questions and I'm basically looking for any tips and tricks to help me work them out mentally and quickly
I'm sure everyone knows what they look like but I'll put a few examples on here just to give you all a flavour of what the questions look like
Fuel calculation question:
You burn 21 kgs of fuel per hour. How much fuel will you need to travel 16 miles if you average a speed of 48 mph?
S/d/t question:
At 4 mph, how far do you travel in 2 hours and 30 mins?
Thanks guys

takes 1/3 of an hour to travel 16 miles at 48 miles/hr
(1/3 hr)(21 kg/hr) = 7 kg fuel
S/d/t question:

(4 miles/hr)(2.5 hrs) = ?
