# Math Help - Put Equation in Standard Hyperbola form

1. ## Put Equation in Standard Hyperbola form

I can get it in the right form, but it still doesn't match any of the choices. Does anyone see what I'm doing wrong? (I posted pics because I didn't feel like typing all the LaTeX code...)

2. ## Re: Put Equation in Standard Hyperbola form

See attachment.

(I posted an image because I don't like to do all the Latex work for you.)

I didn't complete the correction. That's for you.

3. ## Re: Put Equation in Standard Hyperbola form

In the second line of your first pic, it should be $25(x^2+2x)-4(y^2+6y)=111$ instead of $25(x^2+2x)-(-4)(y^2+6y)=111$ .

Edited: Sorry, I didn't see earboth's post.
