    age related question

    Age of Shashi's mother is 12 years more than twice the age of shashi. After 8 years mothers' age will be 20 less than trice the age of Shashi. Find the present age of Shashi and his mother.
    Answers- Shashi-16 years.

    Please give a line by line solution.

    M = Mother's Age
    S = Shashi's Age

    Set up a system of equations for now and in 8 years from now

    Spoiler:
    At time =0 which is now: M = 2S+12

    In 8 years: M+8 = 3(S+8)-20
