Work hours rounded to the nearest quarter

Ok so I was seeing a problem saying, round your work hours to the nearest quarter... and I really can't understand this.

lets say i worked from 10:30am-5pm that = 6:30 hours

What do I just say 6:00?

    6 hrs and 30 minutes is 6.5 hrs ... nearest quarter is either .0 , .25 , .5 , or .75

Really so we wouldn't look at it like 60 minute? where 1.0 is the top value?

I was referring to the decimals ... 1.0 , 2.0 , 3.0 and so on, all rounded to the nearest whole hour.

Don't know how to answer because I don't know what you're asking...

As example, closest quarter hour to 1:44 is 1:45, to 1:45 is 1:45, to 1:46 is 1:45

To 1:37 is 1:30, to 1:38 is 1:45 ... can you not "see" that?
