    Equation Problem

    a=

    What I tried was cancel out the denominators from both sides then solve for a.
    4a-6a+30=20
    -2a=-10
    a=5
    I don't think I got this right need help solving it. Thanks.

    \frac{4a}{a-5}-6=\frac{20}{a-5}

    which means \frac{4a}{a-5} is 6 bigger than \frac{20}{a-5}

    \frac{4a}{a-5}-\frac{20}{a-5}=6

    \frac{4a-20}{a-5}=6

    factor the numerator

    \frac{4(a-5)}{a-5}=6

    No solution
