1)What no. should be subtracted from both numerator and denominator of the fraction 29/37 to make it equal to 5/7 ?

Solution

I think 4 should be subtracted from numerator but if 4 is subtracted from 37 it will not give answer as 7 after cutting.

2)After spending 5/8 of money on marketing, a lady had $10.50 left. How much she had at the start ?

Solution

10.50*(8/5)=$16.8 right ?
