    Exponential decay and mean/quartile questions

    1. If the equation for decay is 30 (0.6), then it gives you another equation within that which states 20 (0.6) and then asks what the 20 represents in the equation, what would it represent? the starting point? the time to get to 30?

    2. for median, what do you do during a box and whsker plot when you have an even set of numbers? Let's say you have 10, and you're asked to find the median for the first, second, and third quartile.

Re: Exponential decay and mean/quartile questions

Exponential: This makes no sense. "30 (0.6)" is a constant, not an equation. Please write the ENTIRE problem statement and show your work.

Median: You must establish a convention. Your textbook or teacher may have an opinion. In any case, pick whichever way does not help your argument.
