    Need help solving algebraic expression

    3x + 2y=12. I need help finding three solutions to this problem

    Hi nykhris22,

    Just pick any 3 arbitrary values for x, let's say 2, 4, 6.

    Substitute each one into your equation and solve for y. We get 3, 0, -3

    Then you'll have 3 points that live on that line. Namely, (2, 3), (4, 0), (6, -3).

    You, of course, realize there is an infinite number of points on any given line.
