1. Need help: simple algebra problem.

The instructions were to solve each equation for the specified variable.

It's probably really easy, but for some reason I tend to struggle with these kind of problems.

A = Prt + P ;for P

L = a + (n-1)d ;for d

T = 3vs - 4ws + 5vw ;for v

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

hmm..so are you saying that I should try to factor each of the problems that I listed? Would I be taking the (rt+1) and dividing it from both sides to get the P to stand alone?

Would it be A/(rt+1) = P ?

i'm confused.

You got it right. See if you can do something similar with the other ones (it will not be exactly the same but similar).

Ok, thanks for your help so far.

As of right now, the answer to the second problem that I got was (L-a)/(n-1)=d

However, I'm having some trouble with the last problem..I can't seem to get any further after I move the "4ws" to the left side, in order to isolate the "3vs + 5vw" on the right.

6. nvm, i figured them both out.

Thanks a lot for your help though
