    Help with simplifying

    Hi. Can someone please help me with simplifying these expressions? Thank you!

    1) (4)^-5/2 <-- the answer I'm getting is 1/32.

    2) (2^-1 / 2^-2)^2

    1) is correct.

    2) First use the index law (a^m)/(a^n) = a^(m-n).
