    Find the slope and Y intercept

    I am having trouble finding the slope and y intercept of the following equation:
    y=-4/7x-8
    (I apologize I cannot format correctly; it is y=negative four over seven x minus 8)
    Any help is appreciated!

    Any linear function of the form y = mx + c has m as its slope and c as its y intercept.

    y = mx + b, where m = slope and (0, b) is the y-intercept.
    y = -4/7x + -8
    m = -4/7
    b = -8
