    quad. equations

    for the equation 3xsquare +px+3=0,if 1 root is square of other then p equals:


    a.1/3
    b.1
    c.3
    d.2/3

    You do realise that you can just try all the candidates on the list and see what roots they give?

    What about the discriminant of this quadratic: p^2-36 what value does this take for each of the candidates?

    So what have you tried, and/or what is the difficulty you are having with this?
