    Trig ratio as fraction on calculator

    My teacher said that were not aloud using a calculator that has the Trig ratio as fraction button. Exactly how does that button look like so I know my calculator doesnt have it?

    I don't know what "Trig ratio as fraction" means, but you should ask your teacher to be certain of what calculator is allowed.

    Ex. the trig ratio cos(30) = √3/2 as a fraction

    There is no "key" that will do that, but some calculators allow you to set the "mode" to allow fractions as the result of calculations rather than decimal approximations (typically called "exact" mode).
