Need help on this worksheet
Gonna post them i need to factor out the polynomials
^= exponent sign(I know you know)

Solve for the x value for the following probs

7)2x^2+19x=-24
8)x^2+8x=65
9)14w=16-3w^2
10. (p+3)^2-p=15

Word probs

1) The lenght of a rectanglular flower gardan is 4 feet longer then twice its width. If the area of the garden measure 96 square feet what is perimeter?

2) Find two consecutive negative integers such that the sum of the square is 113.

Extra Credit- Factor-
(2x+3)^2- 5(2x+3)+4

Side note: I got the first six and i will post if you request me too but the solving for the x values and stuff i dont get that great cus i know they become ( x+ ) and ( x+ ) depending on the xs then you have to make x=0 and stuff but i completely forgot!

We aren't going to do your whole homework assignment. Pick a few questions and show us what you've been able to come up with.

Rule 4: Use thread titles that indicate the nature of the question.

Not much to say about factorising (and when $a \neq 1$ I find the formula much easier!) beyond trial and error to get the answer right. Factorising skill comes with practice.

For the second lot (they really should be in a new thread) it's far easier to use the formula unless your teacher forbids it.

The stuff in red suggests that these questins are part of an assignment that counts towards your final grade. See rule #6: http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...hp?do=vsarules
