Thread: Log equation

I have the following Log Equation that maybe someone could help me with:

loga = log1 - 1.73 log4.3

The answer is 0.087 but how do you get this answer. I have tried putting this into my calculator several times but just cant get the right answer.

Recall that , that and that if two logs have the same base their arguments must be equal

log a = log 1 -1.73 log 4.3
log 1=0
log a = log 4.3^-1.73 a= 1/4.3^1.73= 0.08019
