    Making x the subject of this

    Hey,

    I haven't done maths for many years, and i'm just wondering how x could be made the subject of this equation:

    x = 8 - 15/x

    how could you solve this to get a value of x?
    multiply every term in the equation by x and solve the resulting quadratic equation ...

    x^2 = 8x - 15

    x^2 - 8x + 15 = 0

    (x - 3)(x - 5) = 0

    x = 3 , x = 5
