    Finding a fraction.

    Just looking for a hint with this one, I'm not sure how to go about setting up the equation here:

    "If the numerator and denominator of a fraction are each increased by 1, the result is 3/5; but if the numerator and denominator are each decreased by 1, the result is 5/9. Let the fraction be a/b. Find the fraction."

    \displaystyle \frac{a+1}{b+1}= \frac{3}{5} ....(1)

    \displaystyle \frac{a-1}{b-1}= \frac{5}{9} ....(2)
