A few more problems from class today
1). "If 1 bogus = 15 zing, 42 klang = 25zing, 10 klang = 88 zoot, how many bogus make 1 zoot?"

2)."Find the dimensions of a rectangle whose area is 240cm2 and perimeter is 62cm."

The area of a rectangle is $A\,=\,l\,\cdot\,w$

The perimeter of a rectangle is $P\,=\,2l\,+\,2w$

So we know the area is 240.

Using the area equation we get: $240\,=\,l\,\cdot\,w$

Also we know the perimeter is 62.

Utilizing the perimeter equation we get: $62\,=\,2l\,+\,2w$

So we have the system:

$240\,=\,l\,\cdot\,w$
$62\,=\,2l\,+\,2w$

The dimension are l and w. Solve for both using any methods you've learned about systems. :D

$\frac{1~zoot}{1} \cdot \frac{10~klang}{88~zoot} \cdot \frac{25~zing}{42~klang} \cdot \frac{1~bogus}{15~zing} \approx 0.004509~bogus$
