    lcm of algebraic fractions

    Hi all;
    can someone tell me why the lcm of 2x,x-1 and 2(x-1)
    is 2x(x-1)?

    Any good sites for showing how to find lcm for fractions with equations.

    Thanks.

    x-1 is a factor of 2(x-1) therefore you are only looking for ther LCM of 2x and 2(x-1), you can see that 2 is common to both so the rest is easy.
