    Two Rate Problems.

I'm having difficulty with these two problems. I have the answers in front of me, but I don't know how to come to them on my own.

    1. Use the letter d and the number 10 as required to write an expression that tells the number of 3-cent stamps that can be purchased for d dollars.

    2. A truck went a distance of d miles in m minutes and arrived 1 hour late. How fast should the truck have been driven to have arrived on time?

Thank you. Please explain how you come to your answer.

"d dollars" is 100d= (10)(10)d cents. How many times will three divide into that?

    2. A truck went a distance of d miles in m minutes and arrived 1 hour late. How fast should the truck have been driven to have arrived on time?
1 hour is 60 minutes. If the truck took m minutes and was an hour, it should have taken m- 60 minutes. A distance d miles in m- 60 minutes is what speed?

Thank you. Please explain how you come to your answer.

I have tried doing these on my own. How do you want me to ask?

Edit: Maybe I should ask "How to do it?" You don't have to finish the problem. I just want some direction.
