It is easy to see that... $\displaystyle \displaystyle x^{4}-x^{3}-x+1= (x-1)\ (x^{3}-1) = (x-1)^{2}\ (x^{2}+x+1)$ $\displaystyle \displaystyle x^{2}-2 x+1= (x-1)^{2}$ ... so that... Kind regards $\displaystyle \chi$ $\displaystyle \sigma$
