-(3)^5 * x^ 9 * (y^-5 )^4/
3^7 * x^14 * y^-27 * y^0

Is the final answer y^7/ 2430 * x^5?

I got $\displaystyle -\frac{y^7}{9x^5}$ , assuming you wanted to simplify $\displaystyle \frac{-(3)^5(x^9)(y^{-20})}{(3^7)(x^{14})(y^{-27})(y^0)}$

This is almost unreadable - learning some LaTeX doesn't take much time and saves the helpers from getting headaches...

Is your original expression $\displaystyle \frac{(-3)^5x^9(y^{-5})^4}{3^7x^{14}y^{-27}y^0}$ ?

yes that is the problem. Prove It the negative is outside the 3. Sorry I didnt know about LaTex. I get the x and the y part, but I'm not understand the other part.

When you divide things with similar bases, subtract exponents. X and Y are no different than 3.
