Hey guys I was wondering if you can help me with this problem:

The height of a punted football can be modeled with the quadratic function h= -.01x^2+1.18x+2 The horizontal distance in feet from the point of impact with the kickers foot is x, and h is the height of the ball in feet.

1) Find the maximum height of the punt.
2) The nearest defensive player is 5 feet horizontally from the point of impact.
How high must the player reach to block the punt?

For number 1 I got the height to be 36.81 feet.
Number 2 is what I really need help on.

2. Plug in x = 5 feet and find h.
Do you see why? Use symmetry.

3. You don't need to think about symmetry. 5 feet from "impact" is precisely x= 5.

I took point of impact to mean the point where the ball hits the ground.
So the problem should've been more specific: point of impact with foot or ground
But yeah, either way its the same answer.
