Need help with a calculation
I'm no good at Maths so half of the categories I do not understand, so I hope this is the correct place. I only got a C at GCSE stander in Maths, and that was about 2/3 years ago lol.

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to figure this out, below I have put figures showing a total number which is spilt into 3.

Payment 1: £909.15
Payment 2: £909.15
Payment 3: £936.70

Total Amount: 2755.00

Well basically the "Total Amount" SHOULD be "£3385", so how would I work out Payment 1, 2 and 3? As to me it does not look like it is simply 3385 / 2.

I am confused. Why should the total amount be 3385?

Sorry I worded that wrong, the total of 2755.00 which is split into 3 should actually be 3385 split into 3. I just can't figure how out I work out how to split 2755 into 3 to get the 3 amounts, as I need to do that with the 3385. :S I don't know how else to explain it.

try this,

Payment 1: $\frac{909.15}{2755}\times 3385 =\dots$
Payment 2: $\frac{909.15}{2755}\times 3385 =\dots$
Payment 3: $\frac{936.70}{2755}\times 3385 =\dots$

Alright, I will try and explain it differently.

2755 split into 3 = 909.15, 909.15 and 936.70
3385 split into 3 = ???

Edit:
That looks correct I think.

P1: 1117.05
P2: 1117.05
P3: 1150.09

Thanks :)

Is what Pickslides posted. He took the fraction per payment and multiplied it by the new total for the new payments.

Wilmer
909.15 / 2755 = .33
.33 * 3385 = 1117.05
Can you finish it?
