    Solve for x

    log2(3x-2)-log2(x-5)=4

    3x-2/x-5=4^2
    I am doing something wrong because I cannot come up with the correct answer that is given.

    There is something wrong, but the result is the same.
    \frac{3x-2}{x-5}=2^4 (not 4^2 though the result is 16).
    From here you can solve for x.

    from there its

    (3x-2)/(x-5)=2^4

    3x-2=16(x-5)

    distribute

    3x-2=16x-80

    add 80 and sub 3x

    78=13x

    x=78/13
