Solve for x log2(3x-2)-log2(x-5)=4 3x-2/x-5=4^2 I am doing something wrong because I cannot come up with the correct answer that is given.

There is something wrong, but the result is the same. $\displaystyle \frac{3x-2}{x-5}=2^4$ (not $\displaystyle 4^2$ though the result is 16). From here you can solve for x.
