# Math Help - Need to impress my dad(Who's a math teacher)

1. ## Need to impress my dad(Who's a math teacher)

Someone please help me work out these problems, I'm supposed to find the zeros of each function.
f(x)=x^2-7x

f(x)+x^2-9x+20

Also how would I complete the square for this expression?

x^2-15x+?

1 factor out the x

2 try factoring if not quadratic equation

3 $\displaystyle x^2\pm bx+\left(\frac{b}{2}\right)^2=\left(\frac{b}{2}\ri ght)^2$ then $\displaystyle\left(x\pm\frac{b}{2}\right)^2=\left( \frac{b}{2}\right)^2$

4 Ask your dad for help. He will be proud that you are working to have a better understanding of fundamental concepts.

3. You'd think that but I've been procrastinating lately, and like my Algebra 200 grades been slipping so he basically gave me a book and a list of questions these were the final three questions and I was trynna get them all right,m at least I thought so but asking my dad isn't a option. But cheating isn't either, thanks for the advice, I'll turn it in as is.

Good. Because MHF is not a service for providing answers that are intended to impress other people and are a substitute for lack of effort.
