# Math Help - shade the region.

hi, i need to shade these regions:
y<3x-1
y<3
x<5

for this i got:

i don't think its correct, if it is which bit is the region? if not where have i gone wrong?

2. It looks like you shaded the wrong part, if you shade the part you didn't shade then you'd be right

3. which part is shaded wrong?

4. Hello, andyboy179!

$\text}I need to shade this region: }\;\begin{Bmatrix} y \:<\: 3x-1 \\ y \:<\: 3 \\ x \:<\: 5 \end{Bmatrix}$

You have shaded the wrong side of each inequality.

Graph the lines: . $\begin{Bmatrix}y \:=\:3x-1 \\ y \:=\:3 \\ x \:=\:5 \end{Bmatrix}$

Then shade the region below or to the left of the lines.

Code:
        |
|        /
|       *
|      /|
|     / |
3|    /  |
- - * - / - + - -
|  /:::::
| /:::::|
|/::::::|
------*:-:-:-:*-----
/|:::::::|5
/:|:::::::|
/::|:::::::|
|

The final region is the area that has been shaded three times.
