    rational exponents..

    rewrite with rational exponents

    For any number x > 0 we have \displaystyle \sqrt[b]{x^{a}}=x^{\frac{a}{b}}

    Also remember that \sqrt{x}=\sqrt[2]{x}.
    That is, if the index on the radical is 2 they do not write it explicitly.
