    \displaystyle \frac{15x^2}{2}-\frac{x}{2}-1=0 Now factor or apply the formula whichever works.

    Continuing where dwsmith left off, and multiplying both sides by 2:

    15x^2-x-2=0

    Factor:

    (5x-2)(3x+1)=0

    Now, by the Zero-product property:

    5x-2=0 and 3x+1=0

    solving gives us:

    x=\frac{2}{5}

    x=-\frac{1}{3}
