hi everyone, i have an assignment due and i really need help
i'm stuck on this problem.
i used the ac theory like this

14x^2 -20x +6

a=14 b= -20 c=6

ac=14(6)=48
b= -20

there are no two numbers that will multiply together and get 48 and at the same time be added together to get -20

i also tried to just factor by using 2 to get 7x^2 - 10x +3 and i ran into the same problem.

7x^2 - 10x +3 = (x - 1)(7x - 3)

Hello,

maybe this helps a little bit further:

a*c = 14*6 = 84

i used the $ac$ theory like this: . $14x^2 -20x +6$

. . $a=14,\:b= -20,\:c=6$

. . $ac\:=\:14(6)\:=\:48$ . . Here! . 14 × 6 = 84

\begin{aligned}14x^2-20x+6&=14x^2-(14x+6x)+6\\&=(14x^2-14x)-(6x-6)\\&=(x-1)(14x-6)\end{aligned}
