    basic question

    solve for x

    x+1/(x-2)=2+1/(x-2)

    ========

    1/(x-2)=t

    x+t=2+t /-t

    x=2

     \dfrac{x+1}{x-2} = 2 + \dfrac{1}{x-2}

    then, x=4 works.
