    Smile algebra help

    solve by substitution
    4x-12y=5
    -x +3y = -1

    Substitute that into the first equation,

    4(3y+1) - 12y =5

    Open,

    12y + 4 - 12 y = 5
    Combine,
    4 = 5
    Which is a contradiction.
    Thus it has no solutions.
