Thread: Possible Outcomes

My problem is--
1. Draw a tree diagram to show all possible outcomes if you draw a ball from box 1 and a ball from box 2. Box 1 shows A R T. Box 2 shows 1 2 3 4. ?
2. How many outcomes are there if you draw a ball from boxes 1 and 2?

I'm not sure what form of tree diagram you are expected to produce
but the attached figure shows one type of tree diagram for this
problem.

2. How many outcomes are there if you draw a ball from boxes 1 and 2?

The number of outcomes is equal to the number of leaf nodes on the
diagram (in this case nodes on the right), which in this case is 12.
