Put in values for x and solve for y, or vise versa.

If x = 1, y = ...

If x = 2, y = ...

etc.

Plot these points and you will get your graph. - Oct 15th 2010, 03:30 AMHallsofIvy
The graph of a

**linear**equation is a line- and a line is determined by two points.

For this problem, the simplest thing to do is to choose x= 0, then solve the equation for y to get one point.

Now choose y= 0 and solve the equation for x to get the second point.

Plot those two points and draw the line through them.
