    solve for $\displaystyle x $

    $\displaystyle
    15xy-8x^2=0
    $

    One solution is x = 0. The other depends on y.

    There will be two solutions for x:

    $\displaystyle 15xy-8x^2=0$

    $\displaystyle x(15y-8x)=0$

    $\displaystyle x=0$ or $\displaystyle 15y-8x=0$

    $\displaystyle 15y=8x$

    $\displaystyle x=\frac{15y}{8}$ or $\displaystyle x=0$

    $\displaystyle 15y=8x\Rightarrow\ \frac{x}{y}=\frac{15}{8}$

    Hence, x=0 or x:y=15:8
