EDIT: SInce i haven't gotten an answer from you, I will assume that's what you want. $\displaystyle \frac {18x^2 + 4x - 13}{2x} = \frac {18x^2}{2x} + \frac {4x}{2x} - \frac {13}{2x}$ $\displaystyle = 9x + 2 - \frac {13}{2x}$
