Thanks for any help in advance.

I believe I solved this problem but my daughter thinks otherwise.

The question states "make this problem true"

2+7^2-3^2/3^2-1*5=35

the ^ is 2nd power, I hope that is the right symbol

I came up with

(2+7)^-3^/3^-1*5=35

(2+7)^ = 81, - 3^ = 72,/ 3^= 8, -1 = 7 * 5 = 35....?

looks crude but it looks right? Thanks for any and all help.

2. yea look right to me, but before i go on let me check on my graphing cal. k i sec

3. Thank You.

4. Anyone else? Thank You

5. Hello, mnmailman!

I think you've got it . . .

$\text{Make this problem true: }\:2+7^2-3^2 \div 3^2-1 \times 5 \:=\:35$

$\bigg[\dfrac{(2+7)^2 - 3^2}{3^2} - 1\bigg]\cdot 5 \;=\;35$
