    body fat

You decide to lose 5 pounds. Fat tissue contains 85% fat and 15% water. How many kcal (kilocalories) must you lose if fat contains 9.0 kcal per grams (kcal/g)?

    Well here is my guess:

    1 pound = 453.592g

So if weight was 100% fat you would need 9.0x453.592*5=20411.64 Kcal

However you only need 85% of that so 20411.64/100*85 = 17349.89 Kcal

I hope this helps and is correct - but I don't promise!
